WARSAW – The Ukrainian Armed Forces will from time to time hold further exercises and testing of missiles, Ukrainian Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak said.

“We will be holding such exercises as required,” Poltorak said in Warsaw on Dec. 2 in a comment for Interfax.

He went on to note that the exercises held by the Ukrainian Air Force in Kherson region on Dec. 1-2 were successful, as the Ukrainian Armed Forces accomplished all the assigned tasks.

“In my view, they [the exercises] went very successfully as we fired 16 missiles and they all hit hypothetical targets. No emergency situations took place during the tests. In spite of the threats coming from the Russian Federation, all the goals set for these exercises were reached,” Poltorak said.
Apart from the missile tests, Ukrainian forces carried out crew training and shakeup, checked command posts and gained experience. “And today, thanks to these exercises, we have improved our defense capability,” Poltorak said.
