You're reading: Pompeo, Polish FM discuss war in Donbas, transatlantic ties

BERLIN — As part of their meeting in Warsaw, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Polish Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz have discussed, among other things, the conflict in Donbas, the Polish Foreign Ministry has said.

“Foreign Minister Czaputowicz and U.S. Secretary of State Pompeo are also meeting to discuss international policy issues, including the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, and the significance of transatlantic ties for Europe’s security and stable development,” the Polish Foreign Ministry said in a post on Twitter on Feb. 12.

Also, during their meeting, Pompeo and Czaputowicz discussed Polish-U.S. relations, including military cooperation, energy security and trade.

Pompeo met the Polish foreign minister on the eve of an international conference on the Middle East in Warsaw.
