More than 100,000 Ukrainians have travelled to the European Union visa-free since June 11, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said.

“On June 11, precisely one month ago, the Ukrainians got the full taste of European freedom, visa-free travel to the EU. More than 100,000 holders of Ukrainian biometric passports have used their visa-free travel right by now,” Poroshenko said at the Ukraine-EU summit in Kyiv on July 13.

These citizens have seen what the EU is with their own eyes and have realized why Ukraine is headed there and what the ‘young Ukrainian state’ is fighting for, he said.
