The fifth President of Ukraine, MP Petro Poroshenko did not arrive at the State Bureau of Investigations (SBI) for interrogation on Sept. 6, said the SBI director Roman Truba.

“… the fifth president of Ukraine again ignored the interrogation in the Bureau. By the way, sending subpoenas has now become easier – we are doing this through the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine,” Truba wrote in his Telegram channel.

He said that on Friday, investigators wanted to get Poroshenko’s testimony in criminal proceedings regarding possible interference with the work of judges of the Kyiv District Administrative Court.

“Ignoring interrogations using dubious reasons is not a very effective scenario for a person who has nothing to hide and has something to say in his defense. Moreover, the interrogation will still have to be done, if not now, then from January 2020,” he said.
