You're reading: Poroshenko announces talks with IMF managing director on Wednesday

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko plans to talk to International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Christine Lagarde on Wednesday.

“After Chernihiv I am going to Kyiv where the negotiations with Christine Lagarde are held,” Poroshenko said at a meeting with residents of Chernihiv region on Wednesday.

He also said that the introduction of martial law would not affect financial support of international financial institutions to Ukraine.

The head of state said that leaders of European states and international institutions confirmed during talks that they believe Ukraine and would not terminate any assistance program.
