President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has appointed Valeriy Bondar deputy commander of the National Guard of Ukraine.

The corresponding decree dated June 7 was published on the presidential website.

“Appoint Valeriy Ivanovych Bondar as deputy commander of the National Guard of Ukraine,” the document says.
The president dismissed Valeriy Rudnytsky from this post in late May.

Major-General Bondar was previously the chief of staff of the Main Directorate of the Ukrainian National Guard.
