You're reading: Poroshenko approves ratification of agreement on financing Danube Transnational Program

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has signed the law of Ukraine on the ratification of the agreement on financing the Danube Transnational Program, the presidential press service reported on Oct. 8.

According to the report, the ratification of the agreement will create legal grounds for obtaining 5 million euros to finance projects of the Danube Transnational Program as a financial instrument of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region.

“The implementation of the agreement will contribute to the fulfillment of the obligations defined by the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union, as well as the socio-economic development of the Ukrainian part of the Danube region, which covers the Odesa, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi and Zakarpattia regions,” the report says.
