President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko believes that the blockade by activists in Donbas territories, uncontrolled by Kyiv, is a very dangerous strategy and actions by them destroyed Ukraine in Donbas.

“It destroyed Ukraine in Donbas. It’s a very dangerous strategy and actions of blockade protesters were dangerous. We had to act decisively and efficiently,” the president said in an interview with Ukrainian television channels on March 15 night.

He expressed confidence that the scenario of the blockade was not written in Ukraine, since it is aimed at internal destabilization of the country.

“This [blockade] made it possible to take advantage of the absolutely irresponsible behavior of politicians in order to achieve two goals: the first is to justify the decision of the Russian Federation in order to recognize the passports of the so-called LPR/DPR, registration of documents, vehicle identification numbers, etc. […] And the second – nationalization, confiscation, or speaking in plain language, the seizure of Ukrainian enterprises, the transfer of them to the oligarchs of Russia or those who fled Ukraine, like Kurchenko did, who became illegal owners of these facilities,” the president said.

According to him, because of the blockade some enterprises started to pay money not to the Ukrainian budget, but to the “budgets” of the self-proclaimed republics.
