Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko and Prime Minister of Bavaria Horst Seehofer have discussed during a meeting in Kyiv the latest developments in Donbas and the implementation of the Minsk agreements by Russia.

“The parties discussed the development of the situation in Donbas. The Ukrainian president briefed [Seehofer] about the latest destructive steps by Russia aimed at undermining the Minsk agreements, the head of state stressed the importance of preserving the sanction pressure on Moscow, which is the key to restoring not only peace in Ukraine, but also preserving the European order,” the press service of the Ukrainian president said on May 25.

Seehofer confirmed that the normalization of cooperation with Russia is possible only if Moscow fulfills the Minsk agreements.
