You're reading: Poroshenko concerned about Kremlin lawyers in Ukrainian politics

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko is concerned about the presence of Kremlin lawyers in Ukrainian politics and the support of Russian propaganda.

“The Kremlin forces information war on us to enslave our mind. When Putin hangs the blame on somebody else it can still be understood. But I, as a president, am shocked with another fact: how many Putin’s lawyers our political elite has. How they try to relieve him of responsibility for the war and hang this responsibility on Ukraine. Some politicians are so blinded by the internal struggle that they thoughtlessly, sometimes even deliberately, duplicate dangerous stamps of Russian propaganda,” Poroshenko said at the International Forum of Volunteers and Veterans “Ukraine is where we are.”

“Perhaps they think that they are fighting for power. Actually, no. I firmly believe that they work for the aggressor, they try to undermine the moral spirit of Ukrainians, they try to weaken the will to resistance, most importantly – they strike at the rear, stab in the back of the Armed Forces, devalue the feat of Ukrainian soldiers in the name of Ukraine,” the head of state said.

According to him, there are people of different political views among 344,000 combatants and this is an objective cross-section of society.
