Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and Danish Prime Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen have coordinated their positions regarding the mandate of the future UN peacekeeping mission in Donbas.

The talks between Poroshenko and Rasmussen were held within the framework of the Fifth Eastern Partnership Summit. The president briefed the Danish prime minister about the situation in Donbas and drew his attention to the recent escalation in certain areas of Luhansk region, the Ukrainian president’s website reported on Nov. 24.

The two also noted the shared vision of the implementation of the Nord Stream-2 project. The report stresses the importance of safety component in this matter.

Poroshenko welcomed the initiative of the Government of Denmark to hold the second international conference on reforms in Ukraine in Copenhagen in 2018.
