Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and President of Poland Andrzej Duda during the talks in Munich on Saturday condemned the recent acts of vandalism in Huta Pieniacka and Bykivnia, discussing in the context the reconciliation of the two peoples.

“The sides discussed the issues of reconciliation of the Ukrainian and Polish peoples, strongly condemning the recent acts of vandalism that took place in Huta Pieniacka and the Bykivnia Graves historical-memorial reserve that were most likely organized by a third party,” the press service of the Ukrainian state said.

As reported on January 10 unidentified persons in Lviv region partially destroyed the monument to the Poles – the inhabitants of the Huta Pieniacka village killed during World War II.
