You're reading: Poroshenko invites Montenegro`s President Đukanović to visit Ukraine

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and President of Montenegro Milo Đukanović at a meeting as part of the Munich Security Conference said that they would continue to support the political dialogue between the two countries.

“The presidents agreed on the need for the intensification of bilateral cooperation and discussed promising areas of cooperation, in particular, the study of the European integration experience of Montenegro, including the adaptation of national legislation to the EU standards. The parties agreed to maintain an active bilateral political dialogue between Ukraine and Montenegro in order to realize a significant potential of the Ukraine-Montenegro partnership,” Ukraine’s presidential press service said.

Poroshenko thanked the president of Montenegro for his consistent resolute support for the EU sanctions policy against the Russian Federation in connection with the ongoing aggression and violation of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine.

He also reiterated the invitation to Milo Đukanović to make a visit to Ukraine.
