BRUSSELS – Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said that Ukraine does not intend to give an assessment to the activities of the former head of Odesa Regional State Administration, Mikheil Saakashvili.

“Firstly, I am not going to discuss the activities of Ukrainian citizens with anyone. And secondly, I do not accept the idea of assessing Saakashvili’s activities in my country, since it was I who invited him to help me introduce reforms in Odesa region,” Poroshenko said in Brussels on June 22 answering journalists’ question on whether Ukraine intends to investigate Saakashvili’s activities.

At the same time, he added that everyone can see “the results of [Saakashvili’s] work” as Odesa region governor.
