Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has noted the improvement of bilateral trade relations with Austria, pointing to the growth of Ukrainian exports to this country by 48 percent.

“Austria remains in sixth place among countries that invest in Ukraine,” he said at the Austria-Ukraine business forum in Kyiv on March 14.

Austrian President Alexander van der Bellen, in turn, also noted the revival of trade relations between the two countries after some decline.

“The Association Agreement [with the EU] has significantly stimulated the growth of bilateral trade,” he added.
