Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko has instructed heads of regional state administrations and Kyiv City State Administration to take urgent steps to provide assistance to the residents of Balaklia district of Kharkiv region, who suffered from a fire at the ammunition depot.

“The list of priority measures includes the provision of construction materials (glass, slate), diesel fuel, food, as well as dispatch of construction teams to carry out repairs and restoration,” the president’s press service reported.

According to the report, the task force for cleaning up the emergency aftermath is working at the site of the incident. Its work is coordinated by Kharkiv Regional Governor Yulia Svitlychna.
