Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko vows to make substantial reshuffles in his team by appointing young people if he is re-elected as Ukrainian president.

“There will be drastic reshuffles in my team, there will be more new young people. Now, I have many proposals, which we will study and which will be presented,” Poroshenko said on the Ukraina TV Channel on April 7 evening.

He assured Ukrainians that if he is re-elected he wants to pursue those reforms, which will ensure the economic growth and will help overcome poverty and will provide for the wellbeing of the Ukrainians, in the next five years.

“The defense capacity of our state will be strongly built up. I say that our economic growth and our advancement to the European Union will be substantially accelerated. The NATO countries will be suggested signing the NATO Membership Action Plan already in December,” Poroshenko said.

The head of state also pledged that Ukrainian naval sailors, who have been arrested in Russia following the Kerch Strait incident, will be released.

“A great deal of steps will be taken to significantly foster peac, because this will be my top priority now,” Poroshenko said.
