Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has criticized some politicians’ idea that Ukraine should give up the Donbas region.
“No matter how sad it sounds on the Unity Day, but we do have political forces which, in a thoroughly disguised form, have been proposing that we refuse from Donbas… I want to ask these politicians a question: gentlemen, was that you who gathered these territories in order to scatter them?” he said at festivities on the occasion of the Ukrainian Unity Day in Kyiv on Jan. 22.
