Poroshenko says EU confirms sanctions extension against Russia

BRUSSELS – Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said that the European Union assured of the extension of sanctions against Russia.

“News that the sanctions will be prolonged is something we are glad to hear today,” Poroshenko said during a joint statement with European Council President Donald Tusk in Brussels on June 22.
