President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that the situation for Ukraine in the U.S. is changing for the better and the readiness of the U.S. to act more decisively is growing.

“I am confident that the situation for Ukraine in the American establishment, in the White House, in the State Department is changing for the better, and I’m very happy because there is a greater understanding, more readiness to act more resolutely in defense of freedom and democracy,” he said in an interview with Ukrainian television channels on March 15.

According to the president, such changes obviously upset Russia.

Poroshenko added that talks on his meeting with U.S. President Donald Tramp are being intensively pursued.
