Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has confirmed Ukraine’s readiness to supply electricity to Belarus.

“We’ve agreed on concrete steps for cooperation in the field of electricity supplies, in oil and gas industry. In my opinion, this is very promising. I also confirmed Ukraine’s readiness to supply electricity to Belarus,” Poroshenko said during a joint statement with President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko in Kyiv.

The Ukrainian president reported on the agreement to consider the expansion of energy supplies, in particular, oil.
