Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has asked the Cabinet of Ministers to table a motion for the dismissal of Poltava region’s Governor Valeriy Holovko.

“I’ll ask the Prime Minister to file a motion for the dismissal of Poltava Regional State Administration Valeriy Holovko and his first deputy [Andriy] Pisotsky. The National Anti-corruption Bureau (NABU) has got serious questions for them, relevant evidence has been presented, and it would be better for an objective investigation if Mr. Holovko does not hold a high government position,” Poroshenko said when speaking at a forum on energy efficiency in Kyiv on Tuesday.
