President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has signed a decree on conscription for compulsory military service in the National Guard of Ukraine in August 2017.
“Those Ukrainian male citizens fitting for military service who have turned 20 years old by the day of departure to military units and older persons under 27 years who have no right to release or a delay in conscription for active military service should be called into service in the National Guard of Ukraine in August 2017,” decree No. 178/2017 dated July 7 and posted on the president’s website says.
