Poroshenko tests positive for COVID-19

The fifth president of Ukraine (2014-2019), leader of the European Solidarity party, Petro Poroshenko, has said that he contracted the coronavirus infection COVID-19.

“I’ve got a positive test for COVID. Not on time. I really regret that I have to take a break from traveling to the regions. Over the past six years I have got used to working being sick. But this disease is insidious one … Therefore, I am on treatment at home from today. I hope for a speedy recovery and urge all Ukrainians take care of themselves,” Poroshenko wrote on his Facebook page on Sept. 29.
