You're reading: Poroshenko to take part in NATO summit in Brussels, hold bilateral meetings

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko will pay a visit to Brussels (Belgium) on July 11-12 to attend the NATO summit at the invitation of the Secretary General of the Alliance Jens Stoltenberg.

“Within the framework of the summit, the president will participate in the meeting of the North Atlantic Council at the level of heads of state and government with the participation of Ukraine and Georgia, as well as in the meeting of heads of state and government of the contributing countries of the NATO mission in Afghanistan “Resolute Support,” the presidential website reported.

The program of the visit also provides for a number of bilateral meetings of Poroshenko with leaders of foreign countries who will take part in the summit.

In addition, the president will take part in the special session ”NATO Engages: The Brussels Summit Dialogue,” which the German Marshall Fund will hold at the Alliance headquarters.
