President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) Oleksandr Turchynov and Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman have congratulated the soldiers of the National Guard of Ukraine and thanked them for their work.
Poroshenko posted a video about the National Guard on his Facebook page. He offered congratulations on the Day of the National Guard of Ukraine at the end of the video.
Groysman in his congratulations thanked the defenders of Ukraine for ensuring the tranquility of Ukrainians.
“I congratulate you on the day of the National Guard of Ukraine! Thanks to the defenders for the defense of the state and ensuring the tranquility of Ukrainians,” he wrote on his Facebook page.
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Turchynov also congratulated the National Guard on their professional holiday, noting the courage and heroism that the servicemen have been fighting with for four years to confront the enemy in the east of the country.
“Eternal glory to the National guards, who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of Ukraine, for our free European future! (…) I wish you, the true knights-heroes of Ukraine, that every day of your service would a confirmation of the slogan: “Where the National Guard is – there is always a victory,” Turchynov was quoted as saying by the press service of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine on March 26 morning.
