Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko stresses that the formula for the implementation of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union is a directive for the Ukrainian authorities.

“The formula for the implementation of the Association Agreement, our path to the European Union, is becoming a directive for the Ukrainian government and Ukrainian society. Our strategic goal is to make Ukraine a successful European state with strong state institutions and a competitive economy, which is integrated into the European one,” the president said at the Ukraine-EU summit in Kyiv on July 13.

Poroshenko underlined that “no nation has paid such a high price for rapprochement with the European Union,” and also recalled that all the reforms carried out in Ukraine are based on European standards.

He also noted the need for the cancellation of roaming charges so that “large investment and new technologies could come to Ukraine in order to ensure a breakthrough in human contacts through, for example, the abolition of international roaming charges.”
