No Ukrainian entities within Kyiv’s jurisdiction are maintaining trade relations with the enterprises in Donbas that have been ‘nationalized’ by the Russia-backed separatists, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said.

Poroshenko also called on the European Union to toughen its sanctions against Russia.

“Following the seizure of these enterprises, we cannot maintain any trade relations with these ‘confiscated’ enterprises. We won’t allow any of their activities. And we request support for these decisions, including by strengthening the European Union’s sanctions against Russia, which committed this grave violation of international law,” the Ukrainian presidential press service quoted Poroshenko as saying at a meeting with Luxembourgish Foreign Minister Jean Asselborn.
