Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko and President of the World Bank Group Jim Yong Kim at a meeting in Davos have discussed the creation of an independent anti-corruption court in Ukraine.

“The two officials backed the need for setting up an independent anti-corruption court in accordance with the Constitution of Ukraine, taking into account the recommendations of the Venice Commission,” the Ukrainian president’s press service reported.

The World Bank president noted the adoption of the bill on privatization by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

“Particular attention was paid to the implementation of the president’s initiative to develop rural medicine in Ukraine, taking into account the best world practices,” the report said.

The president of the World Bank pointed to the readiness to continue supporting Ukraine in holding structural reforms in the economy.
