You're reading: Pro-NABU activist Ustymenko assaulted in Odesa

Two unknown persons armed with knives attacked a member of the Public Control Council of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) – activist Vitaliy Ustymenko, his colleagues on social networks said.

Ruslan Forostiak, advisor to the head of the Main Department of the National Police in Odesa region said on his Facebook page that Ustymenko had received a closed head injury, a concussion, a puncture wound near the left temple, a bruised chest and a stab wound in his left buttock.

An investigation is underway.
