The Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO) of Crimea together with PGO investigators and Ukraine’s SBU Security Service agents have served a notice of suspicion to a Ukrainian citizen of the so-called election committee of the Crimean Republic, carrying out criminal acts aimed at changing or destroying constitutional law and order, as well as infringing on the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine, as well as state treason.

“The collected evidence shows that this individual, as a Ukrainian citizen working as the chairman of the election commission of Crimea from 2010, agreed to head the commission of Crimea to conduct the so-called all-Crimea referendum, preparing for it, conducting it, and tallying the final so-called results, which showed support for Crimea becoming part of Russia,” the press service of the PGO’s Crimea office said on March 20.

A criminal case has been opened against this individual pursuant to Part 3 of Article 109, Part 2 of Article 110, Part 1 of Article 111 of Ukraine’s Criminal code.
