You're reading: Prosecutor General’s Office has no information on suspicion notice for Bohdan

The Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office is unaware of the preparation of a notice of suspicion regarding Presidential Office chief Andriy Bohdan.

“We have no such information. That aside, as we have already stated, we do not announce suspicions, procedural or investigative acts during criminal proceedings,” the agency’s press service told Interfax-Ukraine on Thursday.

Prosecution authorities should not be used “as a potential tool of political campaign or for media provocations following the legitimate dismissal of a prosecutor,” the press service said.

Media reported earlier, citing a source in the Prosecutor General’s Office, that its directorate for special investigation was considering serving a notice of suspicion to Bohdan regarding violation of the law during his time in the government of Mykola Azarov.
