Maksym Nefyodov, first deputy minister of economic development and trade told Inter TV channel on Nov. 27 that public e-procurement system ProZorro managed to save some Hr seven billion fromUkraine’s budget.”Starting from August 1, all relatively large government purchases from UAH 200,000 should be carried out through ProZorro. Ukraine is one of the few countries in the world, which turned its public procurement to online mode, where every citizen, being at home at the PC can verify what Ukravtodor, the Mayor’s Office or the Defense Ministry purchase,” he said on the Inter TV channel on Sunday.
“Starting from August, all relatively large government purchases from Hr 200,000 should be carried out through ProZorro,” said Nefyodov.
Ukraine is one of the few countries in the world, which turned its public procurement online, where every citizen can verify what Ukravtodor, the Mayor’s Office or the Defense Ministry purchase, he added.
Economy cut from ProZorro is 13% of the contracts and has already exceeded Hr seven billion.
