The debt of the population of Ukraine for housing and utilities services in November increased by 17.3 percent from October and amounted to Hr 43.4 billion (excluding electricity).

The State Statistics Service said the data are given without taking into account the occupied territory of Crimea and Sevastopol, as well as part of the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

According to statistics, in general in November Ukrainians paid Hr 6.6 billion for housing services, which amounted to 46.6 percent of the amount charged for this month (due to the repayment of debts of the previous periods). The population paid Hr 3 billion (111.5 percent of charges) for supply of electricity.

The highest level of payment for housing services in November was recorded in Khmelnytsky (63.9 percent more than the sum of charges), Lviv (60.5 percent) and Zakarpattia regions (60.3 percent more). The lowest level of payment was in Donetsk, Luhansk, Kyiv and Zaporizhia regions (33-39 percent of the amount of charges).

According to the State Statistics Service, in January-November some 70,200 agreements were signed with the population on repayment of restructured debts for housing services for a total of Hr 479.5 million.

The average charge for housing services in the country per owner of the personal account, taking into account electricity consumption (at the rate of 150 kWh) in November amounted to Hr 1,803.30.
