The debt of the Ukrainian public for housing and utilities services in November 2016 grew by 16.7% compared to October 2016 and amounted to Hr 16.021 billion, the State Statistics Service has said.

The service said that the indicator does not include the public debt owed for housing and utilities services in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea and Sevastopol and part of the Anti-Terrorist Operation zone. Data on Donetsk and Luhansk regions could be specified.

According to the report, in November 2016 Ukrainians paid Hr 5.73 billion, or 64.6% of the sum for housing and utilities services.

The highest level of payment in November 2016 was recorded in Ternopil (110.6%, taking into account debt repayments for the previous periods) and Chernihiv regions (104.9%), while the lowest one in Sumy (21.6%), Luhansk (45%), and Odesa regions (49.4%).

The average charge for housing and utilities services per capita in Ukraine, taking into account energy consumption (150 kilowatt-hours), in November 2016 increased by Hr 305.90 compared to October, to Hr 1,157.

According to the State Statistics Service, in January-November 2016 some 33,400 contracts on repayment of restructured debts worth a total of Hr 152.5 million were signed with the public.
