Employees of Kyivpastrans disinfect public transport daily, drivers and ticket inspectors undergo temperature screening, the press service of Kyiv City State Administration said with reference to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.

“We are doing the utmost to protect residents of the city from possible infecting with coronavirus. Special attention is paid, in particular, to safety in public transport. All vehicles of public transport in the capital, including metro trains, are disinfected twice per day – once before going on route and once at the end of the shift. Employees of vehicle park and transport depot, who have taken special training, carry out the disinfection procedures,” Klitschko said.

He specified that disinfection is carried out in 361 buses, 349 trolleybuses and 276 trams, which service the city, while doctors monitor body temperature of drivers and ticket inspectors at the beginning and at the end of their shifts.
