MOSCOW – Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky discussed the situation in Donbas and an exchange of prisoners in a telephone conversation, Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov said on July 11.

Putin and Zelensky “discussed aspects of a settlement in southeastern Ukraine and joint work to return the people held on both sides,” Peskov said.

The two leaders “reached agreement on continuing this work at the level of experts,” he said.

“They also discussed the possibility of continuing contacts in the Normandy format,” Peskov said.
