The Verkhovna Rada has granted Ukrainian Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko’s request about giving its consent to prosecution of MP Boryslav Rozenblat, who was expelled from Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction earlier this day, but voted against his detention and arrest.

Some 296 lawmakers voted to concede to Rozenblat’s prosecution at the plenary session on July 11, an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent reported.

At the same time, the requests for his detention and arrest were supported by 183 and 181 parliamentarians, respectively, which was insufficient to pass these decisions.
