Ukrainian parliamentarians have refused to include in the agenda of the session a bill authorized by President Volodymyr Zelenskiy amending the laws dealing with changes to the electoral system for elections of deputies and an alternative bill drafted by a group of deputies.

Ninety-two parliamentarians voted to include the presidential bill and the alternative bill drafted by parliamentarians in the agenda, an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent has reported.

Besides, the deputies did not have enough votes to include in the agenda of the session a presidential bill “On Changes to the Law of Ukraine On Public Procurement,” which deals with procurement during the electoral process. The bill received 127 votes.

At least 226 votes were needed for a decision to include the bills in the agenda of the session.
