Rada introduces legal mechanism for change in subordination for religious communities

The Verkhovna Rada has passed draft law No 4128d that defines the mechanism for the change of subordination by religious communities.

The law was supported by 229 MPs at a plenary session of the Verkhovna Rada on January 17, a correspondent of the Kyiv-based Interfax-Ukraine news agency reported.

The law makes amendments to several laws governing the subordination of religious organizations and introduces procedures for state registration of religious organizations with a legal entity status.
