Parliamentarians didn’t include in the agenda of the session of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine a presidential bill (No.8497) on the creation of the High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC).

The Verkhovna Rada Speaker Andriy Parubiy conducted a “rating” vote three times to check whether there are enough votes in the session hall to include the legislative initiative in the agenda of the session, but each time the parliamentarians gave less than 226 minimal necessary votes to make a decision, an Interfax-Ukraine agency correspondent reported.

In this regard, the speaker did not put on the vote the inclusion in the agenda of the draft law on the creation of the HACC.

“Then I will put it on June 21 for inclusion in the agenda of the session for making a decision. That is, I ask the committee to consider this issue at the committee tomorrow,” said Parubiy.

Earlier on this day, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a bill on the creation of the High Anti-Corruption Court in Ukraine and defined this document as urgent for extraordinary consideration by parliament.

Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Oleksiy Filatov will report on the bill during its consideration at a plenary meeting of the Verkhovna Rada.

Parliament Speaker Andriy Parubiy predicts that this bill can be adopted this June 19.
