Nine official dealer centers of Renault in Ukraine – in Kyiv, Dnipro, Lviv, Mykolaiv, Odesa and Ivano-Frankivsk – have received the right to sell and service Renault ZOE and Renault Kangoo Z.E. electric vehicles after the repeated ZOE tour conducted jointly with experts from France.
According to a press release of Renault Ukraine issued on Tuesday, the level of infrastructure preparedness for Renault electric vehicles was acceptable after the results of the second ZOE tour, since 85 percent of the inspected charging stations are compatible with Renault ZOE (with the required minimum of 80 percent, according to the brand’s standards).
According to the press release, in accordance with the requirements of the Renault brand, before the start of sales of electric vehicles in the country, a thorough check of the infrastructure of the charging stations for correct operation, as well as the possibility of comfortable and safe operation of Renault electric vehicles in urban conditions, is conducted.
The first inspection was carried out in Kyiv, Lviv, and Odessa in the spring of 2017. As a result, only 76 percent of the charging stations had a proper technical level for charging Renault electric vehicles.
Taking into account the low preparedness of the Ukrainian infrastructure for the comfortable operation of Renault electric vehicles, negotiations were held with owners and operators of the infrastructure to eliminate errors and improve the work of charging stations during the year.
Based on the results of the tour, the right to sell and service Renault electric vehicles was given to the following dealer centers: AIS Autokrai Ukraine, Arma Motors, NIKO Prime Megapolis and Kiy Auto (all in Kyiv), Autogroup + (Odesa), V.S.K (Ivano-Frankivsk), M-Motors (Mykolaiv), Single-Motor (Dnipro) and Yu.R.K. (Lviv).
According to the technical requirements, two charging stations are installed on the territory of the centers, which have been technically tested and comply with the ZE Ready standard. There is the necessary tools in the warehouse, and there are two technical specialists who have undergone special training at the official servicing stations.
