U.S. President Donald Trump says his summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin got off to a “very good start” with a one-on-one meeting that lasted more than two hours.
Trump made the brief comment as he and Putin sat down for lunch with other senior officials following the private talks that opened the July 16 summit in Helsinki — the first full-fledged meeting between the two presidents since Trump took office 18 months ago.
