Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Rozenko believes that there are no grounds for the introduction of the OSCE observation mission in Zakarpattia.

“Ukraine as a democratic state is not afraid of any monitoring, but I will frankly tell you, I personally do not see any grounds for introducing a special regime in Ukraine, in particular in the language issue. I do not see any threats to the languages of national minorities neither from the Ukrainian legislation nor from the state or local authorities,” Rozenko said on the air of Radio NV on March 12.

According to him, all statements of neighboring countries, in particular Hungary, are related to their internal political struggle, as well as the hybrid war of Russia.

As reported, the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) in Ukraine did not confirm information about opening an observation mission in Zakarpattia, but reported increased monitoring in Uzhgorod “through continuous patrols” from Ivano-Frankivsk.

On the eve the media reported that on March 10, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said that the OSCE had informed him about the opening of an observation mission in Zakarpattia.
