Kremlin-led forces have opened fire on the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces 21 times over the past 24 hours, with no casualties reported among Ukrainian soldiers, the press center of the headquarters of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) has said.

“Russia-backed separatists opened fire on the positions of our troops 21 times. At the same time, separatists twice used weapons banned by the Minsk agreements. In the past day, Russia-led forces fired at our positions outside the settlements of Krymske, Luhanske, Svitlodarsk, Starohnativka, Chermalyk, Pavlopil, Hnutove, Vodiane, Lebedynske, and Shyrokyne. There are no casualties among the soldiers of the Joint Forces,” the JFO HQ said in a report on its Facebook page early on September 18.

According to Ukrainian intelligence, one separatist was killed and one more was wounded.

Russia-backed separatists fired at the positions of the Joint Forces three times on September 18, with all ceasefire violations recorded in the Mariupol sector. Russia-backed separatists attacked Ukrainian strongpoints near Lebedynske and Vodiane from heavy machine guns and small arms.
