Kremlin-backed separatists have opened fire on the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Donbas 27 times over the past 24 hours, with no casualties recorded among Ukrainian soldiers, the press center of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) headquarters has reported.

“Russian-backed forces opened fire on the positions of our troops 27 times. During the shelling, the weapons banned by the Minsk agreements were used ten times […] There are no casualties among the personnel of the Joint Forces,” the JFO HQ said in a report on its Facebook page on October 12 morning.

Over the past day, separatists fired at the positions of the Joint Forces near the settlements of Krymske, Novozvanivka, Troitske, Luhanske, Svitlodarsk, Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Chermalyk, Pavlopil, Hnutove, Vodyane, Lebedynske, and Shyrokyne.

According to Ukrainian intelligence, two separatists were killed and six wounded in the past day.
