Russia-led forces violated the ceasefire in Donbas, eastern Ukraine, one time on Sunday, July 28, having attacked the Maryinka checkpoint; no Ukrainian army casualties have been reported, the press center of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) Headquarters has reported.

“On July 28, the Armed Forces of Ukraine adhered to the ceasefire. However, armed formations of the Russian Federation and its mercenaries violated the ban on the use of any weapons. The enemy mounted an attack on the Maryinka checkpoint, using a large-caliber machine gun. No shelling of Joint Forces’ positions was recorded. No Ukrainian army casualties were reported,” the JFO HQ said on Facebook in a morning update on July 29 morning.

There have been no enemy attacks since July 29 midnight, the JFO HQ said.
