Russia will not change its stance on Ukrainian sailors detained in the Kerch Strait despite the ruling of the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea; their future will be determined by court, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

“The stance won’t change. The inquiry into the violation of the Border Law will be finalized, and a trial will be held,” Peskov said in response to the newspaper Vedomosti’s question whether the Kremlin had changed its mind in the light of the International Tribunal’s ruling.
