MOSCOW – The Russian Prosecutor General’s Office has officially ruled activities of the international non-governmental organization Ukrainian World Congress based in Canada to be unwelcome in Russian territory, the office told Interfax.

“After studying incoming materials, the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office decided on July 11, 2019 to find activities of the international non-governmental organization Ukrainian World Congress (Canada) unwelcome in the territory of the Russian Federation,” it said.

The Prosecutor General’s Office made this decision as “the activities of this organization pose a threat to the foundations of the Russian Federation’s constitutional system and security,” it said.
