You're reading: Russia sends 92nd illegal ‘humanitarian convoy’ of 23 trucks to occupied Donbas

The Russian side once again unilaterally executed the so-called “humanitarian convoy” of trucks that entered the uncontrolled territory of Ukraine through a government-uncontrolled checkpoint.

It’s already the ninety-second convoy of cars from the beginning of the conflict and the eighth from the beginning of this year – the first and second were in July and September, and three in October and November each. They, as stated, carry essential goods that are transported for residents of a part of Donbas not controlled by the government, but it was not possible to verify this, the State Border Service of Ukraine reported on Nov. 21.

“The movement of the so-called “humanitarian convoy” occurred with gross violation of international and domestic laws and modalities agreed with the International Committee of the Red Cross. The Ukrainian interagency group carried out only visual observation without performing control functions … supposedly children’s food packages were transported in trucks. However, given that the goods were transported in closed packages, the Ukrainian group, charged by border guards and customs officers, could not obtain true information about its contents, nature and nomenclature,” it said.

According to the State Border Service, only from 5 a.m. to 5.45 a.m. on November 21, two columns of the so-called “humanitarian convoy” of 23 vehicles from “Matveyev Kurgan and “Donetsk” Russian checkpoints entered certain regions of Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine respectively. In addition, the vehicle load was about 70 percent.
